Something Old and Something Brand New...

While attending college in San Diego I became quite involved with Amway. A good friend of mine that worked with me in the wonderful world of busing tables got signed up by an apparent Amway big cheese and actually I think he was the real deal. I mean we visited his really nice house with the Cadillac sitting out front and every thing. As I recall he was at the point in his business where he had tables set up in the garage area for people to make there daily pick up of products and it was his full time gig. We were super excited to be in that position too some day soon.

I joined Amway under my good friend Gabe and we went to work on every one and any one we could think of. We did our best for being two young punks with no business experience what so ever. Amway was huge back then and still is huge now, although now I guess its being called Quixtar but regardless a world know program with untold amounts of success stories I am sure.

"Show the Plan" and we did. We would have meetings at Gabe's house a couple times a week with the eraser board and every thing. It was fun and we signed up some members too. Some how the whole college life just got in the way and we eventually let it slip.

Amway or Quixtar or whatever you want to call it these days is or can be whatever you make it to be. The products are real and usable in every day life and I am sure there are still many new success stories being created for those that are willing to work hard and stay the course.
