Branding

Every one wants to know about branding themselves. I never really could get myself to 100% follow the idea of it all. First of all, I got online to take myself out of the picture, not to post my picture all over the place. In all fairness, you can brand without having your face all over, but most of the time you will be a poster boy.

Branding is a very broad topic, so I will stay on the topic of internet branding. The idea is to put yourself up on a pedestal, above the rest of the droning crowds, and let people know that you are something special. This way, people will want to follow your lead, and do what you recommend, say over other affiliates or networkers, promoting the same program or product.

The idea in itself is correct. I am just not totally convinced that branding is completely necessary to achieve successes on the internet. I have watched many top branded people crash and burn just like anyone. To me, the bottom line always comes down to hard work, and staying the course, no matter what. Those two things, are what will separate you from droning crowds. Those that will give up, and or never really try, long before success ever has a chance at happening.

A lot of people teach about the importance of branding, and I am not looking to be bombarded by them saying “you don’t know what your talking about” or “go back to school!” what I am saying is that branding is not 100% necessary to find your success on the internet.

Most of the people that I have seen in the internet spotlight, had to find success before they ever began branding themselves right? I mean, who wants to follow a guy that has had zero success? Should one lie in the beginning, just to create an image of success, so people would even want to follow? I don’t think so. In fact, that would be a critical mistake.  People are way too smart these days.

In conclusion, I say that working hard, and never giving up, should always come first. Then when you find your success, and you will by never quitting, then the branding part should happen naturally, and folks will be interested in you.
